OFF THE RECORD

Tough day at work yesterday ( thanks to staying up too late reading The Cold Cold Ground ) followed by a late Board of Directors meeting for the youth lacrosse league I'm invloved with, but when I arrived home, my print copy of OFF THE RECORD was waiting for me. Luca Veste did a great job with this! If you are not familiar with OTR, it is 38 crime stories based on "classic" song titles, written my 38 UK and US writers.  What really mattters though is, every single penny ( or pence ), is going to children's literacy programs in the US & UK.

If you feel so inclined to support this cause, you can take a look, and perhaps get yourself an electronic or print version:

Ebook at Amazon US HERE...Amazon UK HERE or in print at Lulu HERE

A huge thanks to Luca Veste for putting this all together. He hosts a great site HERE and you can check out his Ebook publishing venture, Guilty Conscience Publishing HERE

Interview on Kindle Author Blog

As most know, the e-book / e-reader is consistently gaining ground on the tradional print format. Along with being a available in print on Amazon ( US & UK) & B&N, My novel is also out in e-book format on Amazon (US & UK), B&N, and the Apple iBookstore.

David Wisehart's blog-Kindle Author features interviews with writers who's novels are available for Kindle. He does a good job with the questions and it is a great service he is providing.

The Q & A he did with me was posted to his blog yesterday and if you choose, you can take a peek at HERE

MINDJACKER approved for Smashwords Premium Catalog

Got the good news this morning that my novel was approved to be included in the Smashwords Premium catalog. This was acccomplished by following the formatting guidelines that are required for distribution of an eBook, and passing the automated and manual review processes. I received my eBook ISBN as well, which I think is pretty damn cool. It also means that Smashwords will now distribute it to major online retailers including Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Kobo, and other Smashwords partners.

I am using Createspace for the print version. The cover is complete and the MS Word manuscript doc has been converted to a 6 x 9 novel template. The last step is to convert the MS Word doc to PDF, then upload it. From there I get a proof to review.

All of this and I have not spent one penny of my own money.
