Big time congrats to these very talented writers and a huge attaboy to John Kenyon for hosting such a way cool contest. Along with reading all the excellent entries, I was introduced to some new writerly friends, which is always a good thang. If you haven't got a chance to read the winning stories, here's the righteous path.

Sean, the competition must've been pretty fucking great, my friend. I was impressed with your piece so the winners have to be at their best!
ReplyDeleteI'll get round to reading the winners asap. As you know I've got my hands full at the moment. It should get easier as time goes on (FFO).
Keep writing, mate and have a great weekend!!
Dave- Thanks Man. The first FFO story was a doozie, that's for sure. You done good. I'll be getting around to writing some more shorts soon enough, but I'm really clamping down on the novel and really enjoying it lately. Have a great weeekend as well!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great crowd, wasn't it? I believe I've only read Loren's of the winners, but it was a job well done.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if you're up for another story challenge just yet, Sean, but ABSOLUTELY KATE is asking for submissions over on her site on film related stories for February. For you or anyone else that's reading, it's here.
Sean- I saw A*K was looking for submissions and I'm def up for it, but the details were sparse, last I checked. I'll take a another look over at the Bayou today. Do you know any thing more?
ReplyDeleteA*K- If you stop in here could you provide some details, so I can post about it... Thanks in advance.
I don't know that it's that specific other than to be film related in some way, Sean, but I'll let you know if I find out more.
